Sargiful 2018- (A step towards unraveling the Tribal Talent)
Sargiful 2018, an exclusive initiative for the Tribal students of the state was organized by SC and ST Department, Government of Odisha. The programme was held at Unit-1 Adviasi Exhibition ground. The state level programme spanned for 3 days. The Inaugural ceremony flagged off on 19th Dec. Honorable Chief Minister Shri Naveen Pattnaik, Govt. of Odisha as Chief guest inaugurated the occasion along with State level Science-cum-agri based exhibition also .
Shri Pattnaik accentuated his perspective towards the value of education for the tribal students. The Govt. of Odisha will invest incessant endeavor for the development of SC & ST , he also added.
ABOUT SARGIFUL
Introduced in 2010, now an annual event for the students studying in the schools run under the aegis of SSD Department. Sargiful provides the opportunity to students for interacting with experts also to to demonstrate their talent. Sargiful is comprised with entertainment and learning activities. It also aims towards providing them life skills like – Karate, Preventive Healthcare etc.

Around 925 Students,142 teachers from various educational institutes have participated in the event. The candidates securing excellency in various talent acquisition competitions and HSC 2018 exams were felicitated. Various Forms of cultural performances has taken place during the event.
The following entertaining modes of Cultural and folk performances were performed :
Creative Dance.
Tribal painting.
Creative writing.
Photography.
Music.
Puppetry.
It can be concluded, such candid initiatives by the Govt. surely would provide impetus in the development of tribal community. In the purpose to include them in the social main stream.
